Are you ready to grow and receive what has already been given to you?
Doing something you’ve never done before is all about creating the condition inside yourself to do it. It is about receiving what has already been given to you from the ‘out there’. Whatever you want is already waiting for you, because if you can conceive it then you can have it. And the bigger the ‘thing’ then quite probably the more courage, strength of character, power and determination you will need to take those first steps to start it and then to overcome all the inevitable challenges along the way to see it through to a successful conclusion.
An analogy that came to me from my travelling days is the ostrich chick inside its egg – which is very topical with Easter just around the corner.
If you’ve never seen an ostrich egg they are massive, very beautiful with an ivory orange-peel texture to them and immensely strong. In fact so strong that you can stand on one – I did.
So consider the challenge that the ostrich chick has when it’s outgrown its creamy temple and instinct is telling it that it is time to enter the next phase of its life. It is driven by an internal force to peck and tap and chip away – to breakthrough and find its way out of its ivory womb and out into the daylight and fresh air.
Although the chick is driven by a strong natural instinct – the instinct for survival because if it is not successful then the
How hard are you working your awareness muscle?
When you know that you are now ready and willing to grow, evolve and transform – and you know that unless and until you do this that you will not hold your vision in your hands and have it in your reality – then this is the first step to working and growing your awareness muscle.
Working your awareness muscle is all about noticing your responses, your thoughts, your emotions and your beliefs.
What is it that might be blocking you from achieving all that you know in your conscious mind that you deserve? If you are ready for it, it will become a spiritual journey as you step into taking full responsibility for what you create and how you do that. And – how you can change what you create from having what you don’t want to revelling in the fun and excitement of creating and receiving exactly what you do want.
Like any muscle, the more you use it the better it performs and the stronger it will grow.
Becoming aware is a process of suspending judgment of yourself and learning to witness with curiosity your emotions, responses and results.
Notice how much time you spend judging yourself, your results, or your lack of results. Become aware of where you are, and where you aren’t. But suspend that judgment of yourself, suspend the criticism and the negative self-talk that undermines your progress and your disposition – and learn to notice what is going on as an objective witness.
How is it that some people appear to have almost overnight success and others stay forever bumping along on the bottom?
Have you ever wondered in the small hours why this happens?
I know I did and it’s part of my reason for being fascinated about human performance and for running a business that is all about raising your performance levels to new heights.
It’s not just about hard graft and being lucky. In fact I would argue that it isn’t even about that. It’s about moving yourself into a position where ‘stuff’ happens. – and you find yourself in the right place at the right time more and more because you have created a better place inside yourself.
Are you someone who has been in business for some time and are still struggling to break through to the next level, and wondering what it takes to do that? Or perhaps you’ve recently set up your own business and, like I was when I first started up, are confounded about how it is that some people appear to have almost overnight success and others, in spite of all their efforts, really do stay forever bumping along on the bottom.
It’s all about raising your energy levels, your effectiveness and your connection to what it is that you wish to achieve. It’s true, that some people do seem to have that Midas touch without having to change a thing. The difference between those that easily do that is that they already have that higher vibration. For others, it’s a skill that is easily acquired.
It’s all about tapping into your own personal
Who do you think should be your biggest supporter?
We have just celebrated Halloween and Guy Fawkes night, and we are galloping towards Winter and the year is certainly drawing to a close, however, for me it’s just a bit too early to be thinking of Christmas. But I am wondering how you are thinking about your progress, accomplishments and learnings over this last year. Are you good at remembering to look back and reflect and, most importantly, pick out your successes, leaps and achievements or do you tend to dwell on what hasn’t gone as well has you may have hoped?
Maybe you even look back in frustration and even a bit of anger, if you aren’t where you hoped you’d be. So, ask yourself this – who is responsible for your success?
How can it be anyone else but you? When you’re ambitious and looking to grow both yourself and your business and your are very future focused, it can be all too easy to beat yourself up and criticise yourself for where you aren’t, rather than celebrate where you ARE!
Where were you this time last year? Do this exercise it shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes of your time. Spend some time reflecting on where you were this time last year – your mind-set, your personal growth, how much have you invested in yourself and your business to move to where you are today – and how has that investment paid off? Look for intangibles as well as the more tangible results – and BE
